FACE PROGRAM
The mission of KCS of Family and Child Education (FACE) are to support parents and caregivers in their role as their child's first and most influential teacher. FACE is to strengthen family-school-community connections. To increase parent participation in their child's learning, and support the cultural diversity of each American Indian community.

Home-Based: Parents/Caregivers must be active in bi-weekly visits
Center-Based: 3 years old to Kindergarten must actively participate in FACE center-based programs.
Preschool participants must be toilet trained

What is PACT Time?
PACT stands for Parent and Child Together
Time. Parent engagement is mandatory for
all groups of the FACE program. Parents/caregivers interact with their children for 1 hour every day in the classroom. Parents work with their child by following their child’s lead and supporting their learning.
Home Based Services
Parents learn to be their child’s first teacher with the help of age appropriate toys, literature, and activities. Children learn by playing with their parents. Parent Educators provide support for families.

Center Based Services: Early Childhood Services
The early childhood program is to
prepare children 3-5 years of age
for Kindergarten. This is the crucial time,
to expose children to reading, writing and develop the social skills needed to enter the elementary setting.
Reflect Culture and community
Daily schedule consists of: Circle time, Small Group Time, Work/Wonder/Share, and PACT Time

Parents:In the Adult Education class, parents work on their goals, whether it be personal, academics, or career.

K-3rd FACESchool teachers and the Adult Educator work to help support PACT time during class hours for 1 hour a week in the elementary setting
